Resorting to Old Testament Laws for Rules of Governance

Come to the public arena. Join the discussion on gay civil rights and marriage~ Quote a small section of Old Testament Levitical Law,saying that gays shall be put to death [the context also says that rape victims shall marry their rapists, and non-virgins shall be stoned]. Mississippi, GOP State Representative and Southern Baptist preacher, Andy Gipson, let his Facebook readers know that HE has discovered God's will when he quotes the verses to support his ethics as a legislator. Sadly, Mr. Gipson received some sort of threats afterwards to himself and his family for his views of biblical sins. Those views were then reported in The Huffington Post website. Fundamentalist "picking and choosing" what they want to believe, and then finding Bible verses to support those beliefs can be very stressful when one is held accountable in the arena of free thought.  86 percent of the voters who voted in Mississippi have already ruled gay marriage illegal in that state.
